Privacy Protection Act, 2012 (Cth)
This privacy policy sets out how Sally Nash & Co
manages personal information.
Firstly we do not provide personal information to any
entity or Authority, unless required by law. In many cases Court
Rules require that notices be issued e.g. to ASIC or to AFSA. Some
Acts such as the Corporations Act, 2001, Bankruptcy Act, 1966,
Federal Court of Australia Act, Uniform Civil Procedures Act,
Service and Execution of Process Act require that personal
information be provided to a Court or to a process server. Where
required personal information will be given to a Court or Authority.
We do not provide personal details for judgments to
be entered on credit reference association websites but in some
cases the Court provides this information.
We maintain our client’s legal professional privilege
and client legal privilege in relation to matters which we conduct
on behalf of the client.
It is not our function to collect and hold
information unless you have provided it to us for the purpose of the
legal matter upon which you instruct us. If you are a client of the
firm or have been a client of the firm we will maintain personal
information in relation to your contact details.
Personal information is held by us to assist us to
fulfil our functions and responsibilities as lawyers and as required
in various jurisdictions, Courts and by Government Authorities.
However we do not collect information via our website
and we do not provide information to any other internet user. We do
not use “cookies” to onsell your personal information.
